Business Administration Level 2

Qualification objectives

The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in Business Administration in job roles such as:
  • Administrator
  • Business Support Officer
  • Receptionist
The qualification gives learners the opportunity to: develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector created knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above.

The core tasks and responsibilities related to the job roles above as well as wider work-related knowledge such as organisational structure and environment, the use of research in business, equality and diversity and the legal context of business

● This includes communicating verbally and in writing, preparing business documents, events and managing information and diary systems
● Develop your own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS)
● Achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification

Business Administration Level 3

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in the business administration roles such as:
  • Office Supervisor
  • Team Leader
  • Personal or Executive Assistant
  • Office Executive
  • Business Development Executive
  • Legal Administrator
  • Administrative Manager

The qualification gives learners the opportunity to: develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector created knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above.

This includes the knowledge covering the broader cross-organisation processes such as business innovation, financial management and marketing, as well as the principles and practices underpinning the tasks and responsibilities related to the job roles above such as methods of communication and information management.

● Developing and managing administrative systems, processes and staff. For example, using a range of internal and external communication methods and the systems that support them, organising diaries, meetings and travel, managing resources and facilities, managing administrative processes and systems and supervising staff.
● Develop own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS).
● Achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification

Customer Service Level 2

The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in customer service in roles such as:

  • Customer Service Advisor
  • Customer Service Operator
  • Call Centre Advisor
  • Help Desk Operative
  • Service Agent

It gives learners the opportunity to develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector related knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above.

Technical knowledge includes the principles and practices of delivering customer service and understanding the different types of customers, their needs, wants and expectations. Wider sector related knowledge includes equality and diversity, organisational structure and environment, and legislation and regulations that govern the industry

● Develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that supports competence in the job roles stated above. This includes communicating with customers using appropriate communication channels, resolving customer problems and complaints, building relationships with customers, promoting additional products and/or services and the ability to improve own learning and performance
● Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS) have existing skills recognised
● Achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification

Customer Service Level 3

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in customer service roles such as:

  • Customer Service Supervisor
  • Customer Relationship Manager
  • Customer Service Team leader
  • Client Services Officer
  • Events Coordinator

The qualification gives learners the opportunity to: develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above. This includes the principles, and techniques for organising and delivering customer service, building and maintaining relationships with customers and an understanding of the legislation and regulations that governs the industry

● Develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that supports competence in the job roles stated above. This includes resolving customer problems and complaints, communicating with customers, delivering non-routine customer service and supporting improvements in customer service
● Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS)

Team Leading Level 2

The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in the business and professional management sector.

Develop and demonstrate competence as a:
  • Team Leader

  • Team Manager

● Develop and demonstrate the skills and knowledge to develop the core competencies of the roles above, including team leadership styles, team dynamics, problem solving, providing support, managing the work of teams and communication techniques
